This may be true, but EGM has way more clout than either of these publications. Also, EGM will be the "first impression" that most gamers will get. It will be hard to shake the "6.0" rating, if it turns out to be true.
This was a game that I was looking forward to, but I definitely need a demo now.
@LSK4Life
Oh, no doubt about that. I'm not an EGM fan by any means, but the point I was making was in comparison to the two publicat...
Man, that walk through demo at E3 was shotty at best. It just didn't look good at all. I mean, the graphics were good enough, but the gameplay looked inconsistent and choppy. The combat system and AI didn't impress me either.
This WAS a title I was going to rush out and buy, but with all of the other great games this holiday it will be a rental at best.
You get a bubble for being honest and admitting that you are a fanboy. I'd rather hear it straight up from somebody than people denying they are fanboys, even though it's obvious that they are.
I was expecting PO to have a presence or announcement at E3 this year, but nothing happened. Now we can see that they were waiting to drop a trailer on us a few weeks later. This game needs to get moving and show up sometime soon. The concept and graphics are all there, let's just hope the gameplay comes through.
...Rockstar Badminton for the PS3. This way it will compliment the Table Tennis that MS got.
:P
Who knows what it will be, but I'm pumped for any new R* game.
It would seem natural that OXM would "toot" the 360's horn by giving any 360 game a high score, but that isn't the case. I've been a subscriber of OXM since the third issue, and they give very reasonable/unbiased reviews. 10/10 is near perfect, but OXM actually uses an 11 point scale (saying that an 11 will never happen). That being said, Bioshock is one of 3 games to ever have received a 10/10. The other two are Gears of War, and Splinter Cell 2 (I think).
Ooops...forgo...
I bought a PS3 for a blu-ray movie player, and I'll eventually get some games for it besides Motorstorm and Resistance.
Hey, I'm gonna try to help you out....so listen.
You see those nice looking bubbles across from your name? Well they will go away fast with comments like that on this site. Fanboys are punished and not rewarded.
Just thought I'd give you a heads up before you go posting that kind of language on another topic.
EA SUX!
It wasn't the trailer at E3 that hurt them, it was the Beta. If there had been no beta then the reveal at E3 would have blown people away, cause everyone would have been amoped up to get Halo 3's "first glimpse". The beta was great, but it kinda ruined the hype for me. After playing the Beta the hype for Sept. 25th is lacking for me, at least I'm not nearly as hyped as I was for Halo 2.
That being said, we were all underwhelmed by the E3 showing, cause there had alr...
Yeah, it's because people keep their PS3 on to try and speed up the "waiting".
Don't freak. I have a PS3, this is just something a fanboy would say.
The idea is that you can access and interact with web based functions/extras, which could be updated regularly. Therefore, you would need some sort of flash memory to interact with these web based features. Is it totally necessary? Probably not, but it is one thing that HD DVD has over BRD and they're going to milk it for all it's worth.
That being said, I own a PS3 and the HD DVD add on, and I'm looking forward to great HD movies and features on both formats for the foreseeab...
Give this guy some funding and I think he could really get stuff done. Great imagination and technique.
Yeah, good point JsonHenry. This was a game that I was excited about, but this is a case where releasing a demo hurts them. There have been a few games that I was excited about and then played the demo, only to find out that a game isn't what I thought it would be. This may hurt the publishers/developers, but it's good for the consumer.
BOT (Back on Topic), this is a HUGE line up of games for the 360 and will keep them competitive this holiday.
What exactly is he saying about XBL's content? Old and not in 1080p?
Well, most of the downloadable content isn't in 1080p, but it's certainly not old. There are plenty of new games and content (i.e. Video Marketplace and XNA Games).
This is the kind of criticism I don't respect, whether it's from MS or Sony. If it doesn't make sense than just don't say it, cause people come off looking dumb.
Microsoft has an opportunity to really make an impact with Zune 2.0, but they need to add/integrate these features....
-Fully integrate LIVE content across the PC, 360, and Zune Formats. This means allow all downloaded content (videos, music, trailers, etc) via marketplace to become usable on Windows, Zune, and the 360. A LIVE membership would be usable and viewable on all of these platforms and have access to the marketplace on PC, and the Zune using it's wifi capability.

They need a DS "Heavy" that has extended multimedia functionality, deeper web browser, movies, software, whatever. I traded my DS Lite in after I beat Advance Wars for the 20th time, cause there weren't any other games that peaked MY interest. I don't see any reason why we can't get some decent games on the DS. There are some, but not the ones with the rich story lines and action. This is where I've "out grown" some Nintendo products.
It sounds like it's more of an issue of having two independent players on different systems fit into the gameplay. For instance, apparently the AI is strong with the marines and other NPC's and that can almost interfere with the co-op experience, especially if the players data from each system has to be transferred in real time.
Looks cool, even though it's merely concept art. This would give them the option for nice wide screen videos or browsing.
I played the demo and there is nothing "great" about this game, but the Stuntman series is a guilty pleasure for me. Controls are just "good enough" to get by and enjoy the missions and the graphics are just average, but the missions are great for a fun challenge.
Yeah, I'll probably buy this game.....don't make fun of me.
